It will take us a couple of years to get up and running and to get to birds we are proud of. Join us on this journey!
Our birds enjoy free-ranging often and eat a mainly soy-free, non-GMO feed that we mix ourselves. The feed includes rolled barley, yellow field peas, black oil sunflower seeds, black soldier fly larvae, kelp, and a probiotic. They also get free choice fresh water, grit, oyster shell, and baked egg shells. They get fed a ton of fresh produce as well including strawberries, peppers, tomatoes, grapes, etc. We do occasionally feed them some corn from our garden, but it is not a significant chunk of their diet.
Our Breeds:
French Black Copper Marans - Chocolate Brown Eggs
Silver Laced Wyandotte - Tan/Pink Eggs
Crested Cream Legbar - Blue Eggs
Once our flocks are established, we will hatch chicks of each breed about 2-4x per year Spring-Fall. If you are interested in any of our birds please reach out and let us know, I can tell you when the next expected hatch will be. We will also have hatching eggs, pullets, roosters, and adult hens available throughout the year.
Though our pricing may seem high, you must understand that we use breeder-quality birds not hatchery stock. Our birds are superior to the hatchery stock found in feed stores. We put a ton of time and money into our birds. We only select the best birds to breed and we are a very small operation. These prices are not having us break even, we are taking a cut at these prices.
