Any reservation or waitlist from Faith Fields Farm gives you options after any retained kids. By placing a deposit or purchasing an animal from us, you have indicated acceptance of the following agreement and terms:
Reservations on our kids are free. We will put your name on a reservation list with your preferred breeding pairs and do our best to fill it. However, we have first choice on all of our breeding pairs. Once the kids have been evaluated those with reservations will be contacted. Evaluations may not take place until kids are 4-8 weeks of age. Price on kids is at 2 weeks of age. Boarding fees of $25/week will apply after that. If you have a reservation on a kid and decide to purchase a deposit of half the purchase price is due at the time we contact you after kidding, unless other arrangements are made.
If your reservation becomes available, the non-refundable deposit MUST be paid within 48 hours of receiving notice from us. At the end of that 48 hour period, if we have not heard from you, we will move to the next person on the waitlist.
If an animal is not available from the breeding you are on a list for, you will be notified that your reservation cannot be filled.
Paypal (friends and family option), Venmo, and Zelle are the best methods of payment, but if you need to pay by cash or check, let us know.
Priority is given to performance herds. We have a performance discount, we’d love to see our goats in herds that can prove their genetics, so if you are a current participant in ADGA performance programs such as LA, milk test, and show. We will also have a discount for current 4-H/FFA members.
We’re located in Tri-Cities, WA. We are about 4 hours from Seattle and about 3 ½ from Portland, Oregon. We occasionally offer transportation to neighboring states for an additional fee. Sometimes we are able to meet partway to help with the drive.
Faith Fields Farm requires first right of refusal on ALL animals should you decide to sell any animals purchased from us. That means that if you ever decide to sell an animal that you bought from us, we require that you offer it back to us before you sell it to anyone else. No judgment from us, we just want the option! We appreciate the chance to bring back our animals. We may not always decide to purchase back, but we want the option!
We reserve the right to screen all potential homes. We can and will refuse a sale if we feel the animals are not going to a good home. We reserve the right to sell animals to what we feel are the best homes based on management and care. Deposits will be refunded for these reasons.
We reserve the right to retain any animals born on our farm. Inquiries do not constitute any sort of agreement from us to reserve an animal for the buyer.
We reserve the right to sell our animals to the first potential buyer. That means that we don’t wait for people to make up their minds, or build a fence, or any other excuse that they come up with. It means the first person to schedule a time to meet us for pick-up, not the first person to inquire, gets the goat. If you have a reservation, and we contact you, you have 48 hours to decide to purchase, or we move on to the next person in line.
We reserve the right to choose the registration status of all of our goats. If we feel as though the goat is not breeding/performance stock, we will not sell it with registration. All bucklings that do not go with registration will be wethered. All registered does and bucks leave with ADGA registration papers or a stamped duplicate.
We do not guarantee perfect confirmation on any of our animals. There is no such thing as a perfect animal. They all have their conformational faults. But we are open to being honest about the animal's flaws so you can find the right animal for you! We can not guarantee how an animal will mature, their full-grown height, how a doeling's mammary system will develop, or milk production from a doe. We do our best to provide quality animals. Health of the animal sold is not guaranteed after it leaves our property.
Faith Fields Farm has the right to void any reservation at any time based on the quality of the home as we see fit.
Faith Fields Farm reserves the right to retain any animal at any time for any reason.
All of our goats come from tested herds. Our herd has always tested CAE, CL & Johne’s negative. We use WASHINGTON ANIMAL DISEASE DIAGNOSTIC LAB (WADDL) for our herd biosecurity screen. Our latest test was December, 2024. VIEW RESULTS.
All of our chickens will be tested in the upcoming years, once our breeding flocks are established.
Kids are not weaned till they are ready. If we feel as though the kid is not ready to be weaned, we will not wean until they are. Their immune systems develop from their mother's milk. We do not want to rush the process to sell the goat at its "cute stage" At Faith Fields Farm, our kids are raised the hybrid method and receive daily human interaction of love, kindness, and trust. We feel this method gives them the best opportunity to be well-socialized with both goats and humans. This method also ensures that our does stay at a high milk production. Kids are usually ready to go to their new home at 6 -13 weeks old weaned or between 1-3 weeks old for bottle babies. A few hours after kids are born and they have imprinted with their mother we begin petting them and picking them up It's important to do this frequently, even one day without physical interaction will cause the babies to become wilder. Kids taking the bottle well can go early as bottle babies. All of our kids start off with their dams and by 2 weeks old get pulled from their dams at night for 12 hours. In the morning they get bottle fed with their dam's milk, then get reunited with their dam during the day. This ensures that our does stay at a high milk production. If you are interested in a bottle baby please let us know when you are making your reservation.
All goats have unlimited access to hay and minerals, they also receive fresh produce treats several times a week. If a goat purchased is currently eating a grain regularly, a small amount will be given to go home with them when purchased.
All of our chickens free-range and get produce treats several times a week, when the weather is colder and there is less for them to eat we supplement with grain. If a chicken is purchased while eating grain regularly, a small amount will be given to go to its new home.
If sold as a wether, they will be banded.
All animals are treated with coccidia prevention at 3, 6, 9, and 12 weeks old. We use toltrazuril 5% for this treatment.
ALL kids that are not naturally polled are disbudded between 5-14 days old. We prefer to sell our goats without horns. They can get stuck in a fence and hang themselves/die. So it is for the safety of the goat and you. You don't want to get stabbed with a horn. If you want your goat to go with horns please let us know when making your reservation. Horned goats will not be registered.
All kids are given CD&T and wormed before leaving. We do this routinely. If you want an unvaccinated goat, please make your request before kidding begins and we can work with you. First CD&T kid vaccine comes in-vitro, as we vaccinate our does 30 days before their due date. If you don't want your animal to have its CD&T booster please let us know when making your reservation.
Due to the flooding of the buck market, we STRONGLY feel that most bucks born on our farm will be wethered. We rarely offer bucks, unless the kid is out of a proven doe and sire. No intact buck will be offered from a first freshener. With that being said, if you are interested in a buckling out of a particular breeding, please let us know and we will gladly discuss keeping a buckling intact as a future herd sire for your herd.
If for any reason, after the deposit is made, the animal becomes sick or injured the deposit will be refunded. If the buyer changes their mind, or cannot complete the sale for any reason, the deposit will not be refunded.
We try to provide our goats with the best possible feed and care while they’re in our possession and will only let a goat leave if we believe it to be in good health. Once the goat has left our farm we can’t provide further health guarantees, as we no longer have control over their care, it is then your responsibility to maintain their good health. We are happy to be a resource for questions whenever possible but also recommend you find a knowledgeable goat vet in case of emergencies.
Once an animal leaves our property, we are not responsible for the health of the animal unless there is a case of genetic defect. If that is the case, we require a letter from a licensed veterinarian at the buyer's expense before a refund/replacement is given. We do our best to ensure happy and healthy animals for their owners.
In the case of death; if an animal passes away within 72 hrs after leaving our property and you believe our farm is at fault, proof of death and a necropsy from a licensed veterinarian is required to receive a full refund for the purchase price of the animal. We have never had an animal death after leaving our property, but after witnessing this situation from other breeders, we feel this is best to protect you as a buyer and us as a seller.
Once you are notified that your animal is born you have 48 hours to place a 1/2 down (half of total goat price) deposit on your kid. Kids must be paid in full prior to transportation being arranged
HALF DOWN non-refundable deposit is required once kids are born.
Deposits can be paid in cash, Venmo, or PayPal. If you pay via PayPal, send the money via “friends and family” or include the transaction fees. Once a deposit has been paid, sale goats should be picked up within 2 weeks, unless they need to stay longer, such as dam raised kids that aren’t ready to be weaned yet, or if an agreement has been made prior. A $5.00/day boarding fee will be applied to the price if the kid is not picked up on the agreed date. A deposit of 50% of the price must be in place for us to hold an adult goat as well. First payment/deposit from a buyer means the goat goes to them. Intentions are good but that deposit has to be there. Sorry, but we have been left holding a goat and buyers have changed their mind and not even told us. All kids must be picked up within 2 weeks of weaning. We can deliver to neighboring states for a fee.
Have proper fencing and housing. Goats need good secure fencing and a place to get out of the wind and rain. Chickens need predator-proof coops with good ventilation and roosts that are big enough for the amount of birds in your flock.
Goats are herd animals and NEED a partner of their own species to be happy and healthy. Chickens are flock animals and also thrive when you have more than one of their own species. We will not sell a single animal unless it’s going to a home with others of the same species. Never keep just one goat as they depend on one another for their own safety; they need at least one partner.
Show up with proper transport. If we think transport will be too stressful we will refuse a sale (even if you drove a long way to get here). Please, show up with PROPER transport. For example, a dog crate that does not allow the goat to be comfortable or lay down is NOT proper transport. A large dog crate that they can lay down in and be comfortable in is proper.
Once the animal is reserved, it is the buyer/s responsibility to arrange pick up and pay the animals purchase price in full. If the animal is not picked up by the arranged date, the buyer will forfeit the deposit and the animal will be the sole property of Faith Fields Farm to retain or sell, unless other arrangements are made. Make arrangements for pickup. Someone who is willing to pick up their own animals will ALWAYS get moved ahead of someone who is not willing.
Show up when scheduled to meet. If you do not show up to your scheduled pickup, your sale is void and we will not work with you in the future.
Bring cash for the final payment. We will only take cash, no checks, PayPal, Venmo, etc. We will refuse the sale if you come with any of those listed things. Cash only, means cash only. *for deposits, we accept Zelle* Balances due must be paid in full before the animal leaves the farm. NO CHECKS will be accepted ON THE DAY OF SALE. If you need to send a final payment by check, the check must be received 10 days prior to the meet-up date. If you need another method for the final payment we will work with you, but it must be completed before pickup.
Buyer has the option at the time of pick up to refuse the animal if they feel that the animal is not healthy. We cannot warrant the health status of a goat after it leaves our farm. All sales are final. Taking an animal off our farm implies that you have read and agreed to the sales agreement and are satisfied with the condition of the animal. We will have you sign a paper that says that the animal left our farm in good health. We have no guarantees for what happens in the buyer's care.
If the buyer changes their mind, or cannot complete the sale for any reason, the deposit will not be refunded. We don’t refund money because of buyer’s remorse. All sales should be considered final.
If you are an out-of-state buyer and need an animal shipped to you, buyers are responsible for all shipping costs (crates, health certificates, tests, and transportation to the airport).
